WHO Labor Care Guide: MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership Tools & Resources

To improve quality of care during labor and childbirth, facilitate effective implementation of World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations: Intrapartum care for a positive childbirth experience, published in 2018, and promote a shift towards improving the experience of childbirth, WHO developed the WHO Labour Care Guide (LCG) and accompanying user’s manual. The WHO LCG is a tool to facilitate implementation of quality, evidence-based, woman-centered care for a positive childbirth experience within the context of a broader, rights-based approach. These resources from MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership facilitates implementation of the LCG at a country level.

South Sudan Social Norms Assessment

In 2021, MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience conducted an assessment of social norms related to voluntary family planning and reproductive health in South Sudan. MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience also conducted a webinar in July 2022 to summarize the findings of the assessment. The assessment, a recording of the webinar, webinar slides, and a short video summarizing the assessment are included on this page.

Investment Case for Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) of Childhood Illnesses in Uganda

MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership collaborated with the Uganda Ministry of Health to develop a national “Investment Case for Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) of Childhood Illnesses in Uganda.” The Investment Case provides the Government of Uganda and development partners with clear financing requirements and impact projection justifying continued investments to ensure institutionalization of sustainable, accessible, and equitable iCCM services at scale. Using the Community Health Planning and Costing Tool (CHPCT 2.0), this investment case costs the scale-up of iCCM over a five-year period and identifies a resource mobilization strategy to address a substantial total funding gap, estimated at US$0.8 per capita per year.

Meaningful Adolescent and Youth Engagement: Three Country Perspectives

On September 29, 2022, MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery held a webinar discussing how the project is putting the principles of Meaningful Adolescent and Youth Engagement (MAYE) into practice by engaging directly with young people, as both participants and leaders, in the development of programs geared toward addressing their sexual and reproductive health needs. MAYE shares power with young people, recognizing them as experts regarding their own needs and priorities while also strengthening their leadership/workforce capacities. Social Behavior Change to Improve Maternal Nutrition

Private Sector COVID-19 Engagement: Cataloguing Activities Around Vaccine Acceptance and Uptake

This Findings Report includes an overview of the MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity project’s global mapping of private sector interventions supporting COVID-19 efforts, detailed profiles of each intervention level and type, and recommendations aligned to persona profiles and considerations for next steps. Technical Brief: Imaging Ultrasound Before 24 Weeks of Pregnancy
