Lessons from Partnering with Faith-Based Organizations in Very Young Adolescent Programming

In Bangladesh, faith-based organizations have the potential to meaningfully address harmful gender and sexual and reproductive health attitudes, behaviors and norms among very young adolescents, their families and communities. This activity sought to strengthen local partner capacity to apply effective programming addressing challenges facing very young adolescents, a population that is commonly overlooked.

Optimiser les investissements dans les données de vaccination contre la COVID-19 pour l’avenir : L’Évaluation de la transférabilité des informations de la COVID-19 au système de vaccination de routine

L'urgence de la COVID-19 et l'introduction du vaccin ont obligé les pays à investir dans de nouveaux systèmes d'information sur la vaccination pour collecter, gérer et utiliser les données relatives à la vaccination COVID-19. Le cadre d'évaluation de la transférabilité du COVID-19 au système d'information sur la vaccination systématique (CRIISTA) fournit un processus systématique de collecte de données et de formulation de recommandations pour éclairer ces décisions. Le 24 mai 2023, le projet MOMENTUM Transformation et Équité de la Vaccination de Routine a organisé un webinaire présentant une vue d'ensemble du cadre CRIISTA, des utilisateurs clés et des cas d'utilisation, ainsi que le processus d'évaluation recommandé.

Optimizing COVID-19 Vaccination Data Investments for the Future: The COVID-19 to Routine Immunization Information System Transferability Assessment

The COVID-19 emergency and vaccine introduction compelled countries to invest in new immunization information systems to collect, manage, and use COVID-19 vaccination data. The COVID-19 to routine immunization information system transferability assessment (CRIISTA) framework provides a systematic process for gathering evidence and making recommendations to inform these decisions. On May 24, 2023, MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity project held a webinar presenting an overview of the CRIISTA framework, key users and use cases, and the recommended assessment process.

Policy Dialogue for Sustainable Change for Nurses and Midwives

In Ghana, India, Madagascar, and the Caribbean region, MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership works with country stakeholders to embark on a systematic, results-based policy dialogue process to strengthen and support the nursing and midwifery workforce. The process involves engaging government and other relevant stakeholders to come together and examine the country landscape regarding current policies; discuss needed adaptations to legislation, guidelines, systems, strategies, and plans; and make and implement action plans to better meet the needs of midwives, nurses, and, ultimately, the people they serve. This new multi-country brief further details the process, lessons learned, and impacts thus far from these policy dialogue processes, including the way forward.

Capacity Mapping System (CMS) Guidance Documents

The Capacity Mapping System (CMS) is an easy-to-use, systems-oriented tool based on the Enhanced Capacity Development Framework that assists partners and program implementers in identifying needed capacity development course corrections in a timely manner. This guide provides an overview of the CMS and the steps to use it. The guide is developed for any organization seeking to enhance its performance in order to achieve specific objectives. It is designed to place organizational priorities, constraints, and context in the center of a capacity mapping process, that will result in both a more accurate understanding of what drives performance, and greater ownership over the 100-day improvement plans. It may also be of interest to donors and implementing partners supporting the capacity of the organization which in the context of a project or partnership relationship.

Making Capacity Building Innovations for Health Workers Stick: Lessons from COVID-19 Vaccine Introduction

COVID-19 vaccine introduction proved that alternate training and supervision methods are possible. With restrictions around social distancing, the rapid availability of a new vaccine, and the urgency of vaccinating non-traditional populations, immunization staff found creative solutions to capacity building, often using alternate delivery methods for the first time. On May 10, 2023, MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity project held a webinar to share findings from their recent landscape analysis and practices for fostering innovations in health worker capacity building over the long term.
