Nutrition Care and Services for Adolescent Pregnant Mothers

This landscape analysis from MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership identifies nutrition counseling and services for pregnant adolescents, highlights select national nutrition policies and relevant formative research, and shares program innovations and experiences regarding nutrition specific to pregnant and lactating adolescent women (PLAW). Recommendations based on the findings of this analysis include further global action to harmonize definitions of adolescence, defining adolescent nutrition targets, and disaggregating data to better track the nutrition situation for PLAW.

Co-Creating an Integrated Program Focused on Adolescent Reproductive Health and Sustainable Fisheries in Malawi

To encourage cross-sectoral partnerships that integrate sustainable ecosystems, fisheries, and health, MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership partnered with the REFRESH project to integrate a youth-friendly, gender-transformative strategy aiming to advance positive youth development and promote uptake and accessibility of adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health (AYSRH) and FP services in fishing communities around Lake Malawi. This brief details the collaborative, participatory approach as well as lessons learned from these critical efforts for the field of population, environment, and development (PED).

MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics in India: Gender-Integrated Response to Emerging COVID-19 Priorities in India – Health Facility and One Stop Center Posters

These two posters were designed to serve as resources for women and girls facing violence. The health facility poster defines certain types of violence and provides contact information including a helpline, referral to One Stop Centers (OSCs), community or facility-based health workers. The OSC poster describes the services provided by OSCs to survivors.

Youth-Led Social Accountability for Health

This interactive report summarizes the activities, learnings, and impacts of a partnership between MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership and two youth-led organizations (YLOs) to advance youth-led social accountability learning and practice. With MOMENTUM organizational and technical capacity development assistance, Youth Advocacy on Rights and Opportunities (YARO) in Ghana and Youth for Sustainable Development (YSD) in Kenya led social accountability activities to improve the quality of adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health (AYSRH) services and to conduct learning exercises to contribute to the global evidence on youth-led social accountability.
