Achieving our Best: Strengthening Performance Accountability in Immunization Programs

This evidence brief discusses the importance of strengthening performance accountability in immunization programs to enhance their effectiveness and reach zero-dose and under-immunized children, especially in the context of post-COVID-19 recovery. Performance accountability is critical in improving immunization programs' outcomes and provides a roadmap for stakeholders to enhance accountability relationships and achieve better immunization coverage.

The goal of the What Works Series is to identify, review, synthesize, and share ways to overcome entrenched obstacles to improving immunization coverage and equity. We achieve this using root cause analysis and rapid evidence synthesis.  Learn more about strengthening performance accountability in our latest brief, produced by the MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity project.
