Webinar | Turning Data and Data Systems into Action: Reaching and Monitoring Zero-Dose Children in Nigeria
Published on September 20, 2024
Global immunization efforts have significantly reduced the number of children dying from vaccine-preventable diseases. However, millions of zero-dose children remain unreached, particularly in urban areas, remote communities, and conflict zones.
MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity and the Zero-Dose Learning Hub invite you to join a webinar on how data and digital tools can be used to reach and monitor zero-dose and under-immunized children. The webinar, “Turning Data and Data Systems into Action: Reaching and Monitoring Zero-Dose Children in Nigeria,” will take place on Tuesday, September 24th at 9 am EDT and will feature the following immunization experts:
- Adam Attahiru, Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist with the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET) in Nigeria will discuss the use of lot quality assurance sampling methods to monitor immunization performance and refine outreach efforts to prioritize sub-districts with the highest concentrations of zero-dose and under-immunized children.
- Dr. Sa’adatu U. Ibrahim Ringim, the Jigawa State Immunization Advisor for MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity, will present on how MOMENTUM promotes use of triangulated data from digital Routine Immunization Supportive Supervision, DHIS2, and immunization registers to monitor and reach zero-dose and under-immunized children in Jigawa, Nigeria.
This webinar will provide valuable insights into how data-driven approaches and systems can enhance the effectiveness of immunization programs, ultimately helping reach the most vulnerable populations.
Live interpretation will be available in French.
