MOMENTUM Co-creates the New Immunization Agenda 2030 Scorecard
Published on July 1, 2021
Immunization is one of the most effective public health tools and has the potential to protect millions against more than 20 life-threatening diseases.1 Despite this, access and use of immunization services have flatlined for a decade. In 2019, an estimated 14 million children did not receive a single dose of the vaccines that prevent diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and other life-threatening and debilitating diseases.2 The new Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030) envisions a world where everyone, everywhere, at any age, fully benefits from vaccines. IA2030 provides a Framework for Action with a detailed roadmap to ensure that no one is left behind on immunization over the next decade.
In support of IA2030, MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership led a design team from WHO and other immunization partners to co-create an infographic scorecard that visualizes the framework’s three impact goals: Prevent Disease, Promote Equity, and Build Strong Programs.
