Our implementing partners bring many years of experience in producing global health programs in collaboration with USAID partner countries. Together, these partners coordinate their work to ensure each project adheres to consistent principles and standards while bringing their unique abilities to address the issues that will help mothers and children reach their full potential.
Our MOMENTUM Implementers
IMA World Health (IMA) leads the MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience project. IMA, an affiliate of Corus International, has provided sustainable solutions to health challenges in fragile settings since 1960. IMA works with local partners and governments to strengthen health systems, improve maternal and child health, prevent and treat diseases, promote nutrition and WASH, and respond to sexual and gender-based violence. MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience consortium members include IMA, JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., Pathfinder International, Africa Christian Health Associations Platform (ACHAP), GOAL, CARE, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Brigham Young University, and Premise Data.
Jhpiego leads the MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership project. A nonprofit global health leader and Johns Hopkins University affiliate, Jhpiego creates and delivers transformative health care solutions that save lives. In partnership with national governments, health experts, and local communities, Jhpiego builds health providers’ skills and develops systems that save lives now and guarantee healthier futures for women and their families. The MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership consortium comprises Jhpiego, Save the Children, the Johns Hopkins University International Vaccine Access Center, The Manoff Group, Quicksand, Matchboxology, BAO Systems, Avenir Health, McKinsey & Company, PACT, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Christian Connections for International Health, and Ubora Quality Institute.
Population Services International (PSI) leads the MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery project. PSI makes it easier for all people to lead healthier lives and plan the families they desire by approaching care from the consumers’ perspective, improving the market for products and services, and developing solutions that are affordable, convenient, and effective, to help make universal health coverage more of a reality. The MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery consortium comprises PSI, Jhpiego, Avenir Health, FHI360, and ThinkWell.
Population Reference Bureau (PRB) leads the MOMENTUM Knowledge Accelerator project. PRB helps decisionmakers improve the health and well-being of all people through evidence-based policies and practices. Working with partners in the United States and internationally, PRB informs people around the world about population, health, and the environment and empowers people to use this information to advance the well-being of current and future generations. PRB implements the MOMENTUM Knowledge Accelerator project in partnership with JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. and Ariadne Labs.
EngenderHealth leads the MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics project. With decades of experience leading sexual and reproductive health programs around the world, EngenderHealth supports individuals, communities, and healthcare systems in delivering high-quality, gender-equitable programs that advance sexual and reproductive health and rights, including contraceptive counseling and services, maternal health, comprehensive sexuality education, gender-based violence prevention and counseling, and more. EngenderHealth implements the MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics project in partnership with IntraHealth International, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and the Johns Hopkins Center for Communications Programs.
JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. leads the MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity project. JSI strengthens health systems’ ability to overcome challenges, bringing people together to identify public health problems, find solutions, and paths to implement those solutions. JSI implements this project in partnership with partners PATH, Accenture Development Partnerships, Results for Development, Gobee Group, CORE Group, and The Manoff Group.
