Blended Learning Training Package in Adaptive Learning

This adaptive learning blended learning training package can be used when introducing adaptive learning to individuals or teams who would like to learn more about the basics of adaptive learning, begin integrating adaptive learning into their work, or strengthen their adaptive learning capacities. The package includes four brief training modules which cover topics including: (1) what is adaptive learning, (2) why is it important, (3) how to integrate it, and (4) an overview of adaptive learning tools. Each module is pre-recorded and runs for approximately 15 minutes. Available in both English and French!

Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting Tools for Youth Social Accountability

This suite of tools can be used by young people and their allies to facilitate youth-led social accountability coupled with methods to promote collaboration, learning, and adaptation. MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership adapted these tools with Youth for Sustainable Development (YSD) and Youth Advocacy on Rights and Opportunities (YARO) as part of our work on youth-led social accountability in Kenya and Ghana. These versions of the tools can be adapted and used by other young people in their own youth-led social accountability work.

Toolkit: Adaptive Learning in Projects and Programs

This Adaptive Learning Basic Toolkit includes a set of practical tools and approaches for designing and implementing a project or program that uses the principles of adaptive learning. An underlying assumption of this toolkit is that adaptive learning approaches are more effective when they are integrated into program design and used systematically for the purpose of program improvement, rather than as a single tool or strategy to be added to a program that otherwise uses conventional approaches.

MOMENTUM Small/Sick Newborn Care Learning Resource Bundle

The WHO Model of Care for Small and/or Sick Newborns (SSNBs) aims to reduce neonatal mortality and address the needs of vulnerable newborns. Three MOMENTUM awards--Country and Global Leadership, Private Healthcare Delivery, and Integrated Health Resilience--partnered with governments and stakeholders in Indonesia, Mali, Nepal, and Nigeria to implement SSNB care models. MOMENTUM Knowledge Accelerator spearheaded a common learning agenda to document the rollout of the small and sick newborn care model (SSNC) in diverse contexts, revealing insights into strategic approaches and technical actions for effective SSNC provision. This resource bundle includes the resources and products that were generated from the joint learning efforts across the suite.

MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics Learning Agenda

MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetrics, a five-year project (2020 to 2025) funded by the United States Agency for International Development, developed its learning agenda through the engagement of an international group of experts specializing in the project’s technical areas: surgical obstetric care, female genital fistula prevention and treatment, long-acting and permanent methods of family planning, as well as cross-cutting issues in safe surgery.

Merging Data Availability and Use – An Overview of CHISU and its Intersections with MOMENTUM

On May 24, 2021, MOMENTUM’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Innovation, and Learning Working Group (ME/IL WG) hosted a webinar with USAID-funded Country Health Information Systems and Data Use project (CHISU). During the event, attendees learned about CHISU’s theory of change, its project’s learning questions, and activities. Presenters expanded on the four categories of CHISU's theory of change, detailing the unique indicators and learning questions from each that contribute to the project's goal of providing access to and using high-quality data.
